Head of Business Intelligence & Growth

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Business Intelligence & Growth to lead the BI function for a leading FMCG/manufacturing company in Colombo. The role combines strong technical and analytical expertise with strategic vision to drive market opportunity identification, investment decisions, and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the Business Intelligence function, overseeing data strategy, analytics, and reporting.
• Assess and challenge business cases and investment proposals with robust financial modelling and risk evaluation.
• Establish frameworks to monitor post‑investment project performance and ROI.
• Identify emerging market trends, competitor dynamics, and growth opportunities to inform business planning.
• Partner with Finance, Strategy, Product, and Operations teams to align BI initiatives with corporate objectives.
• Mentor and develop a high‑performing BI and analytics team, fostering a data‑driven culture.

Required profile

• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification.
• 8‑10 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Corporate Strategy, Investment Analysis, or a related field.
• Proven experience leading BI or analytics teams in a fast‑paced organization.
• Strong expertise in financial modelling, market analysis, and investment appraisal.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
