Head of Audit & Compliance – Hospitality

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Audit & Compliance for the hospitality sector. The role will lead the internal audit function, providing independent assurance on governance, risk management, internal controls and compliance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an annual risk‑based internal audit plan and lead audits across all business functions.
• Evaluate internal control systems, assess organisational risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies, monitoring regulatory changes.
• Lead, mentor and develop the internal audit team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Prepare and present audit reports, risk assessments and recommendations to senior management and the Audit Committee.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or related field; professional qualification such as CIA, CA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in auditing, risk management or compliance, with at least 5 years in a senior audit leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of internal auditing standards, corporate governance and risk‑management frameworks.
• Proven ability to develop and execute risk‑based audit plans and to manage corrective actions.
