Generalist - People & Culture

About the role

We are looking for a proactive HR Advisor/Generalist to join BCD Travel in Colombo. You will support line management and employees across all HR functions, ensuring compliance with policies and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of company HR policies and provide support via the HR Help Desk.
• Consult managers and employees on the application of HR policies, employment law and health & safety regulations.
• Educate functional and senior leaders on legal developments to ensure compliance.
• Support business unit leaders with data analysis and reporting on organisational design, compensation and related HR metrics.
• Participate in the creation and revision of HR policies and projects.
• Manage internal HR communications, promoting global and local initiatives such as wellbeing and DE&I.
• Ensure salary policy adherence and timely processing of payroll documentation.

Required profile

• Completed or partially completed bachelor’s degree, CQHRM or equivalent HR qualification.
• 1‑2 years of experience in an HR generalist or advisory role, preferably within a global organisation.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with a variety of stakeholders.
• Good knowledge of applicable employment legislation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
