General Manager – Human Resources

About the role

We are a leading bicycle manufacturer, exporter and retailer seeking a General Manager – Human Resources to shape and execute our people strategy. You will lead the HR function, aligning talent initiatives with business goals to drive performance, engagement and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies that support company objectives.
• Manage full‑cycle recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning.
• Oversee talent management, employee development, succession planning and performance management.
• Handle employee relations, conflict resolution and ensure compliance with labour, health, safety and employment laws.
• Lead compensation, benefits and reward programs.
• Promote a positive, diverse workplace culture and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• HR qualification with at least 7 years of experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices and conflict resolution.
• Excellent communication, leadership and decision‑making abilities.
• Fluency in Tamil and proximity to Panadura are advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HR software tools (HRIS).
