Fund Accountant – Corporate Accounting & Reporting

About the role

The Fund Accountant will manage the corporate accounting and reporting function for companies and SPCs, primarily based in the Cayman Islands. This role ensures accurate financial reporting and maintains robust accounting processes and controls.

Key responsibilities

• Act as system owner for the company’s accounting and reporting platform.
• Prepare and review financial statements, trial balances, income statements and fund balance sheets.
• Manage expense accruals including management, performance, custody, administration fees and audit costs.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation.
• Support other departments on finance and payment matters while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with all regulatory policies.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in financial accounting within investment management.
• Experience designing and maintaining charts of accounts for fund structures.
• Ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders, service providers, auditors and external parties.
• High attention to detail, accuracy and professional ethics.

Required skills

• Knowledge of international accounting standards and fund accounting regulations.
• Experience with at least one institutional fund accounting or portfolio management platform.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing financial accounting and internal control systems.
