Foreman – Body Shop Operations

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Foreman to lead our body‑shop team at Associated Motorways (Pvt) Ltd in Aththidiya, Sri Lanka. The role combines hands‑on supervision with customer‑focused service, ensuring high‑quality repairs while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient workshop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve customer satisfaction and retention.
• Coordinate department activities to boost body‑shop efficiency.
• Instruct, monitor, and coach body‑shop staff to achieve high productivity and quality standards.
• Handle customer complaints and inquiries, driving the team toward high CSI scores.
• Prepare repair estimates and liaise with insurance companies for approvals.
• Manage equipment, tools, and inventory; propose purchases when needed.
• Ensure rigorous cleaning, housekeeping, and safety practices in the workshop and service centre.
• Support the Service Manager in day‑to‑day operations.

Required profile

• GCE A/L in Mathematics.
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar foreman or supervisory role.
• Trade‑level certificate in Automobile Engineering (mandatory); degree or diploma in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering is a plus.
• Computer literacy with MS Office.
• Proficiency in English.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a team and maintain good interpersonal relationships.
• Heavy‑vehicle driving licence.
