Financial Reporting Manager

About the role

The Financial Reporting Manager will lead the preparation and delivery of accurate financial statements for a multinational FMCG organization in Colombo. This senior position is responsible for ensuring compliance with IFRS, internal controls, and delivering insights that support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, accounting standards and internal control requirements.
• Oversee balance‑sheet reconciliations and conduct in‑depth financial analysis.
• Coordinate external audits and manage statutory reporting obligations.
• Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to provide meaningful financial insights.
• Drive reporting efficiency through continuous process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, CIMA) or finalist status.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the FMCG industry.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Advanced analytical, communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for analysis and reporting.
