Financial Accountant

About the role

Brennan is seeking a Financial Accountant to ensure the timely, accurate, and high‑quality delivery of financial reporting, management reporting, tax and compliance obligations. The role also supports process‑improvement and automation initiatives that align with the company’s financial strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and monitor financial data such as sales revenues and liabilities.
• Process weekly vendor payments and obtain authorisation.
• Perform bank reconciliations and prepare monthly balance‑sheet and P&L statements.
• Prepare annual financial statements for external audit and manage the audit process.
• Handle tax payments and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Identify and report accounting discrepancies and analyse financial trends.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end close processes, including posting accurate journal entries.
• Compute monthly exchange gains/losses.
• Maintain and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts with proper documentation and audit trails.
• Contribute to a proactive finance culture focused on control, risk management, continuous improvement and automation.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Solid understanding of financial control, compliance and risk management.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and automation.
• Experience supporting month‑end close, audit processes and statutory reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
