Finance Executive

About the role

Jigsaw Ensemble, a systems‑oriented organisation in Colombo, is creating a dedicated finance function to serve its own operations and three related entities. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Finance Executive will lay the foundation for financial reporting, statutory compliance, and audit readiness across all four legal entities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and prepare management accounts for each entity.
• Coordinate statutory audit preparation and act as the primary liaison with external auditors and the retained accounting advisor.
• Manage tax compliance and filings, working with external tax advisors as needed.
• Develop and maintain documentation standards for financial controls, approval workflows and inter‑company cost allocation.
• Gradually expand responsibilities toward a Financial Controller remit, including leading audits, owning end‑to‑end tax filings, and shaping finance processes, systems and future hires.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of accounting or audit experience, preferably with a Big Four or similarly rigorous firm.
• Part‑qualified or newly qualified ACCA, CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Exposure to statutory audits and ability to handle multi‑entity reporting quickly.
• Self‑driven, career‑oriented and comfortable taking ownership of tasks.
• Strong communication skills to explain financial information to non‑financial stakeholders.
