Finance Executive

About the role

JLL is looking for a detail‑oriented Finance Executive to join its finance team in Sri Lanka. The role is essential for managing vendor relationships, processing invoices, and ensuring smooth payment operations across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end accounts payable processes, including vendor invoice collection, validation, and processing.
• Process Goods Receipt Reports (GRR) and coordinate with the Financial Shared Services Centre for invoice logging and matching.
• Verify purchase orders, invoice values, tax codes and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and coordinate with vendors for revised invoices.
• Handle GRNV clearance and follow up on overdue items.
• Coordinate weekly vendor payment cycles, prepare payment batches, and process payments through systems such as PeopleSoft.
• Prepare and distribute payment advices to vendors and reconcile outstanding payments.
• Liaise with site managers for work completion confirmations and with FSC for GRR submissions.
• Prepare monthly billing files, manage open PO accruals, and update accounts receivable trackers.
• Upload invoices to the Tradeshift platform and support audit requirements.
• Manage petty‑cash confirmations, maintain invoice filing systems, and assist with purchase order reconciliation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and purchase order management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data processing.
• Strong communication skills for vendor and internal stakeholder management.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Partially completed or currently pursuing a professional accounting qualification (CA/CIMA/ACCA) – preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field – preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems such as PeopleSoft – preferred.
• Knowledge of vendor management platforms like Tradeshift – preferred.
