Experienced Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Wise Capital (PVT) Ltd, a growing construction firm in Galle, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its team. The role involves managing cost estimation, tender preparation, and financial control throughout construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs) and tender documents.
• Conduct quantity take‑offs and material measurements from drawings and specifications.
• Evaluate tenders, quotations and subcontractor proposals.
• Monitor project budgets, costs and expenditures, providing regular cost reports.
• Prepare interim payment applications, valuations and final accounts.
• Manage variations, claims and contractual documentation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and project teams.
• Assist with procurement and cost‑control activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and costing.
• Good understanding of construction contracts and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with quantity surveying or construction software.
