Executive / Senior Executive – Accounting Services

About the role

UHY Centra Management Associates is seeking an Executive and Senior Executive to join its Accounting Services team in Colombo. This full‑time, on‑site position will manage the day‑to‑day accounting activities for a diverse portfolio of clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bookkeeping, maintain the general ledger, and prepare financial statements in accordance with Sri Lankan standards.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, conduct bank reconciliations, and execute month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Prepare management reports and support audit processes for client engagements.
• Coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
• Identify and implement process improvements in accounting and financial reporting.
• Senior executives will review junior staff work, manage client relationships, and assist with the implementation of accounting systems and best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in audit, accounting, or outsourcing services.
• Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Relevant professional qualifications or progress toward them (CA Sri Lanka, CMA SL, ACCA, CIMA).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Ability to work with spreadsheets, financial models, and reporting tools.
