Executive – Marketing (Activations & Events)

About the role

Cargills is seeking an enthusiastic Executive – Marketing to lead activations and events that boost brand visibility and drive customer engagement across Sri Lanka. The role bridges marketing strategy with on‑ground execution, supporting sales and social media initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute event and activation marketing campaigns.
• Collaborate with suppliers, vendors and third‑party agencies to ensure timely delivery of all event‑related activities.
• Track event performance, analyse sales versus expenses and report ROI.
• Work closely with the sales team to align promotional activities and maximise sales during events.
• Support social media campaigns before, during and after events to maintain audience engagement.
• Assist in managing sponsorships, partnerships and strategic brand collaborations.
• Coordinate with factory and logistics teams to guarantee stock availability for on‑ground activations.
• Undertake additional projects or tasks as requested by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business Management or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in activation or event marketing (fresh graduates also encouraged).
• Strong interpersonal, presentation and multitasking abilities.
• Proactive, innovative mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel nationwide for activations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office package.
• Experience using Microsoft 365 applications.
