Enterprise Licensing Specialist

About the role

Variosystems is looking for an Enterprise Licensing Specialist to manage and optimise the company’s software and hardware licensing portfolio across a global, mission‑critical environment. You will work closely with IT, security, procurement and cloud teams to ensure compliance, cost efficiency and smooth licensing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain enterprise‑wide licensing inventories for software, hardware and cloud services.
• Perform regular license audits, compliance checks and true‑ups, and resolve any discrepancies.
• Manage Microsoft licensing (365, Windows Server, SQL Server, CALs, Azure subscriptions) and optimise Azure cost management, Reserved Instances and Hybrid Benefits.
• Administer Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops licensing, including license servers and user/device models.
• Oversee firewall and security product licensing (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco) and ensure timely renewals.
• Coordinate server hardware licensing and support contracts for Dell, HPE and related firmware/OS licenses.
• Generate reports on utilisation, costs and renewal schedules; provide budget forecasts and recommendations.
• Collaborate with vendors for procurement, negotiations and renewal processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, IT Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) or IT Asset Management (ITAM) within enterprise environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft, Citrix, firewall and hardware licensing, as well as vendor audits and compliance.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to advise cross‑functional teams on licensing impact.
