Electronic Technician

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic, energetic and self‑motivated Electronic Technician to join our Yamaha Service Centre in Colombo. The role involves servicing, troubleshooting and repairing a range of music‑industry electronic equipment, ensuring reliable performance for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect circuit boards and related electronic components for faults.
• Use oscilloscopes, multimeters and spectrum analyzers to diagnose and repair electronic systems.
• Test, monitor and adjust electronic systems to maintain consistent operation.
• Interpret schematics and diagrams to troubleshoot complex equipment.
• Prepare detailed test reports and documentation of repair procedures.
• Assemble and install electronic components into various systems.
• Repair keyboards, amplifiers, mixing consoles, speaker systems and other music‑industry products.
• Visit customer locations as required to perform on‑site service.

Required profile

• NVQ or diploma in electronics, electrical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in electronic repair or a similar technical role.

Required skills

• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters and spectrum analyzers.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and diagrams.
• Experience in circuit board inspection and component assembly.
• Hands‑on repair of keyboards, amplifiers, mixing consoles and speaker systems.
