Director - Cyber Security

About the role

Sysco LABS is seeking a Director – Cyber Security to join its Sri Lanka leadership team as the Regional Business Information Security Officer. The role will lead a team of BISOs across the region, balancing risk management with cybersecurity requirements while engaging business leaders and operations stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Providing independent and objective oversight and monitoring for the implementation of Cybersecurity across Sysco’s European operating companies.
• Directing and managing Security Leads across regions and translating policies and standards into the environment.
• Increasing awareness and fostering accountability for security across the enterprise.
• Facilitating bi‑directional communication between global operations teams and enterprise security while advocating for both.
• Escalating risks and exceptions to the Cybersecurity Risk and Compliance Management Team and supporting incident response activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in Cybersecurity or information risk management.
• In‑depth understanding of cybersecurity solutions and requirements within the food and service industry.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage all organizational levels.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISSAP, ISSEP or GIAC GRID.
