Digital Surveying Lecturer

About the role

ArchiTech CAD Academy is seeking a knowledgeable Digital Surveying Lecturer to join our faculty in Colombo. You will lead classroom and hands‑on sessions, helping learners master modern surveying tools and techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lectures, workshops, and practical labs on digital surveying concepts.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment tasks.
• Demonstrate surveying workflows using CAD, GIS, 3D modeling and point‑cloud software.
• Guide students through exercises, projects and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades and course outcomes.
• Collaborate with fellow faculty on curriculum development and quality initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of digital surveying principles, geospatial concepts and measurement techniques.
• Hands‑on experience with surveying instruments and relevant software.
• Prior teaching or training experience in a technical environment.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field; certifications a plus.
• Ability to create structured lesson plans and assessments aligned with industry standards.
