Diesel Generator Technician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Generator Technician to join our Technical Services team. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel generators across Sri Lanka, ensuring reliable power solutions for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on diesel generators.
• Diagnose and rectify engine, electrical, and control‑system faults.
• Respond to breakdown calls and provide timely resolutions.
• Travel to customer sites for service, maintenance, and repair work.
• Coordinate major repairs and technical escalations with the Technical Manager.
• Maintain accurate service records and job reports.
• Assist with generator installation, commissioning, and testing as needed.
• Support spare‑parts identification and inventory checks for service‑related items.
• Communicate service requirements to customers and provide basic operational guidance.

Required profile

• NVQ Level or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Automotive, or Diesel Technology (preferred).
• 2–4 years of experience in diesel generator maintenance and repairs.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and generator systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control components.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Professional, courteous, and service‑oriented attitude.
• Valid motorcycle and light‑vehicle driving licence for field visits.
