DevOps Engineering Internship (6 months)

About the role

This 6‑month Engineering Internship gives you a realistic experience of LSEG's Graduate Programme. Based in the Colombo‑Malabe hub, you will work as a DevOps Engineering Intern, applying your STEM knowledge to real business challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines and monitor DevOps infrastructure.
• Write and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks.
• Design and implement automated test suites.
• Evaluate and document various DevOps tools and internal processes.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to understand broader business needs.

Required profile

• Penultimate or final‑year STEM student graduating between summer 2027 and summer 2028.
• Right to work in Sri Lanka for the full internship period.
• Strong analytical mindset, curiosity for data and ability to think strategically.
• Resilience and flexibility in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux, SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with Oracle and AWS (a plus).
• Scripting experience in Python, Bash or Perl.
• Understanding of at least one OOP language such as Java.
• Awareness of CI/CD concepts and tools.
