Destination Specialist – Sri Lanka (Inbound Travel)

About the role

Estiaco Holidays, an award‑winning Destination Management Company, is expanding its direct‑to‑consumer (B2C) travel business. We are looking for a passionate Destination Specialist to join our new B2C team and design unforgettable inbound travel experiences for visitors to Sri Lanka and, where appropriate, the Maldives.

Key responsibilities

• Handle enquiries received via website, WhatsApp, Meta campaigns, email and telephone.
• Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings through consultative selling and exceptional customer service.
• Design and personalise tailor‑made holiday itineraries across Sri Lanka, with optional Maldives extensions.
• Prepare accurate quotations and compelling travel proposals.
• Proactively follow up with prospective travellers throughout the sales journey.
• Manage leads and customer interactions using the company CRM.
• Deliver outstanding service before, during and after the booking process.
• Recommend and upsell hotels, experiences, excursions and other travel services.
• Contribute ideas to improve the customer journey, sales process and enquiry conversion.
• Support the development of the B2C sales function as the business grows.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the travel industry, preferably inbound tourism or customised travel sales.
• Excellent knowledge of Sri Lanka as a leisure destination (Maldives knowledge is a plus).
• Strong sales and customer‑relationship skills with a proven ability to convert enquiries into bookings.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of results.
