Desktop Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a capable and motivated Desktop Support Engineer to provide end‑to‑end support for desktop devices across the organisation. The role combines on‑site and on‑call assistance, ensuring that users receive timely and accurate technical help.

Key responsibilities

• Manage hardware and software incidents for laptops and desktops from reporting to resolution.
• Deliver IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) and desk‑side break‑fix services.
• Maintain standard operating systems, office applications and antivirus solutions throughout the device lifecycle.
• Deploy and update Windows images and applications using SCCM, including patch management and compliance.
• Coordinate with third‑party vendors for component replacement and warranty support.
• Provide VIP and smart‑hand support for critical outages and network equipment.
• Perform routine health checks, asset audits and keep the asset management tool up to date.
• Communicate status and updates to end users via standard client channels.

Required profile

• Proactive, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Available for on‑call and VIP support when required.
• Strong communication skills with end users during incidents.
