Design & Estimation Manager – Architectural Facades

About the role

The Design & Estimation Manager will lead a multidisciplinary team in Colombo, overseeing design and cost estimation for architectural facades, cladding, solar shading, and interior wall and ceiling solutions. This full‑time, on‑site position works closely with architects, contractors, and suppliers to deliver sustainable, high‑quality projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of quantity surveyors, technical officers, and draftsmen.
• Prepare detailed design proposals, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Analyze project scopes and produce accurate cost estimates and BOQs.
• Review tender documents, conduct site visits, and coordinate design revisions.
• Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive process improvements, risk assessments, and value‑engineering initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong background in architectural facades, cladding, solar shading, and interior systems.
• Proven experience in quantity surveying, cost analysis, and tender preparation.
• Good knowledge of engineering principles, building codes, and sustainable material solutions.
• Excellent coordination and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and decision‑making skills.
