Deputy Manager – Reputation Management & Brand Protection

About the role

We are looking for a communications professional to lead proactive reputation management across the Group, covering reputation monitoring, stakeholder communications, external relations, issue and crisis management, digital reputation and early identification of emerging risks. The role involves leading the Group’s reputation management and brand protection agenda across digital, social, media and offline platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Group’s reputation management and brand protection agenda across digital, social, media and offline platforms.
• Drive social listening and public sentiment monitoring across social media, news media, online platforms and relevant public conversations.
• Identify emerging communication developments and reputation considerations, providing timely insights and recommendations to management.
• Develop appropriate communication approaches for sensitive or reputation‑related matters and coordinate responses across relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor brand perception, media narratives and public conversations and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Work closely with Corporate Communications, Business Units, senior management and external agencies to ensure consistent and well‑managed brand representation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Sinhala.
• Strong digital and technology platform proficiency.
• Experience in corporate/brand communications, brand protection or PR, including social listening, sentiment analysis, digital media monitoring and reputation management.
