Data QA Lead

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Data QA Lead to lead quality assurance activities across data projects and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data throughout the data lifecycle. The role involves creating and executing test cases, automating tests where possible, and collaborating closely with data engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead QA activities for data projects and enhancements.
• Create, execute, and maintain test cases and test plans.
• Perform both manual and automation testing of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehouses.
• Validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across systems using strong SQL skills.
• Identify defects, conduct root‑cause analysis, and support issue resolution.
• Drive test automation and continuous quality improvements.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance / Testing.
• Strong experience in manual and automation testing.
• Proven ability to create and execute test cases and test plans.
• Solid knowledge of defect management and QA best practices.
• Experience testing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses.
• Strong SQL and data validation skills.
• Hands‑on exposure to Snowflake, Azure Data Services, Apache Spark, Power BI, or ETL/ELT tools.
• Experience working with data engineering teams on data projects.
