Data Protection & Privacy Analyst – MS Purview

About the role

EY’s Cyber Security Risk Consulting team is looking for a Data Protection & Privacy Analyst to manage and monitor enterprise data protection tools, including MS Purview. You will work closely with IT, network, legal and risk teams to ensure data security and privacy across global client projects.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, upgrade, patch and administer data protection solutions such as DLP and CASB tools.
• Monitor alerts, respond to incidents and follow the incident‑response process.
• Deploy endpoint protection and support vendor troubleshooting and upgrades.
• Assist clients with privacy‑related incident response and act as an interim security officer when needed.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience supporting data security technologies and handling DLP/CASB tools.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with the capacity to work under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with MS Purview DLP, Information Protection, CASB and related compliance modules.
• Familiarity with other DLP/CASB solutions (Digital Guardian, McAfee, Forcepoint, Netskope, Symantec CloudSOC, MDCA).
• Knowledge of MS Defender for Cloud Apps, MS Priva and MS Purview Governance is a plus.
