About the role
As a Data Engineer at Gallagher, you will join a global team based in Sri Lanka, working on modern data platforms to enable risk‑focused analytics for our clients. You will design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics and Snowflake, ensuring high‑quality data for enterprise reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and support data solutions on Azure Synapse Analytics and Snowflake.
- Create efficient ETL/ELT workflows and optimise SQL queries for performance.
- Maintain data accuracy, consistency and integrity across multiple systems.
- Support enterprise data‑warehouse and reporting requirements.
- Troubleshoot data‑related issues and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Required profile
- 3‑4+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT development and cloud data platforms.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- Strong collaborative mindset and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
