Data Architecture & Engineering Specialist – Banking & Finance

About the role

Thakral One is seeking a senior Data Architecture and Engineering Specialist to design and deliver enterprise‑grade data solutions that enable advanced analytics, machine learning and generative AI for banking and financial services clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement distributed and cloud data architectures supporting enterprise analytics and AI initiatives.
• Consult with clients to translate business requirements into technical solutions aligned with industry best practices.
• Apply modern BI tools and frameworks for generative AI and machine‑learning model development.
• Integrate data‑science concepts such as feature engineering, model evaluation and algorithm optimisation into enterprise systems.
• Drive innovation by adopting emerging technologies and methodologies.
• Ensure robust data‑governance practices, including metadata management, data quality, master data and data security.
• Lead the design and development of large‑scale, production‑grade systems using DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and automation technologies.
• Manage resource planning, project delivery and stakeholder engagement with clarity and accountability.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience, including 10+ years in progressive data engineering, data architecture and technical roles.
• Strong exposure to banking and financial services domains and enterprise analytics data assets.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven ability to communicate and present effectively to stakeholders at all organisational levels.
• Demonstrated rapid learning and adoption of emerging technologies.
