Data Architect

About the role

We are looking for a Data Architect who will design and govern a federated data mesh across independently owned data products. The role focuses on establishing standards, contracts, and interoperability mechanisms that enable a coherent, scalable data ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement federated computational governance policies and standards.
• Design mesh architecture, including bounded‑context decomposition and domain identification.
• Create and maintain interoperability contracts such as global identifiers, universal time/geo dimensions, and shared semantic layers.
• Establish governance frameworks (DCAM, DAMA‑DMBOK, DataOps) and stewardship operating models.
• Ensure compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SOX, PCI).
• Develop reference architectures for lakehouse, medallion, and event‑driven data product topologies.
• Guide AI‑ready data architecture, including RAG, knowledge graphs, and model‑data contracts.

Required profile

• Strong background in data modeling techniques such as dimensional modeling, Data Vault 2.0, anchor modeling, and ontology modeling.
• Deep understanding of domain‑driven design and data mesh principles.
• Experience with governance frameworks and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to design scalable, event‑driven architectures and lakehouse solutions.
