Cybersecurity Analyst - SOC

About the role

The Security Operations Centre (SOC) needs a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to monitor, investigate and respond to security events across the organisation. You will work with a range of security tools and collaborate with the security team to protect the company’s digital assets.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor and triage alerts from CrowdStrike XDR, Microsoft Defender, email security gateways and firewalls.
• Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, phishing attacks and other suspicious activities.
• Manage inbound and outbound email traffic, analysing and mitigating spam, phishing, malware and other email‑based threats.
• Support user access management, endpoint protection and security administration within the Microsoft 365 environment.
• Monitor the organisation’s security posture using Microsoft Azure security dashboards and third‑party platforms.
• Identify vulnerabilities and implement remediation measures together with the security team.
• Participate in deployment of cybersecurity solutions and IT infrastructure projects.
• Contribute to daily SOC operations, ensuring timely incident response, escalation and documentation.
• Maintain security documentation, operational records and incident reports.
• Work on a roster‑based shift schedule.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in cybersecurity, SOC or a similar information‑security role.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• Good understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Microsoft Security & Compliance solutions.
• Familiarity with XDR platforms, SIEM solutions and security monitoring tools.
• Experience with email security gateways and email‑threat analysis.
• Knowledge of endpoint security, identity protection and Data Loss Prevention concepts.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC‑200/SC‑300/AZ‑500 or CrowdStrike certifications are a plus.
