Cybersecurity Analyst – SOC

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Security Operations Centre (SOC) in Colombo. You will be responsible for monitoring the organisation's security landscape, responding to incidents, and supporting the implementation of security solutions within a dynamic IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor and triage alerts from CrowdStrike XDR, Microsoft Defender, email security gateways, and firewalls.
• Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, phishing attacks, and other suspicious activities.
• Manage inbound and outbound email traffic, analysing and mitigating spam, phishing, and malware threats.
• Support user access management, endpoint protection, and security administration in Microsoft 365.
• Monitor security posture using Azure security dashboards and third‑party platforms.
• Collaborate with the security team to identify vulnerabilities and drive remediation.
• Participate in deployment of cybersecurity solutions and IT infrastructure projects.
• Maintain accurate security documentation, operational records, and incident reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a SOC or related information security role.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work under pressure.
