Customer Success Executive – Bookkeeping

About the role

Simplebooks is seeking a Customer Success Executive specialized in bookkeeping to act as the primary liaison for our growing portfolio of small‑business clients. You will combine accounting expertise with relationship management to help owners understand their finances and maximise the value of our services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of existing bookkeeping clients, serving as their main point of contact.
• Visit clients on‑site to understand their business operations, discuss financial results, and provide advisory support.
• Prepare and follow up on quotations, ensuring timely conversion to active contracts.
• Oversee onboarding of new bookkeeping clients and coordinate handover with internal teams.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities for additional Simplebooks services within the existing client base.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date client register with status notes and follow‑up actions.
• Achieve targets for client conversion, quotation conversion rate, and client retention.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a client‑facing professional services environment.
• Part‑qualified or qualified (CIMA, CMA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) or a degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management.
• Ability to read and explain small‑business financial information in clear, non‑technical language.
• Fluent in Sinhala and English, with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to travel for client visits within and outside Colombo.
• Highly organised, responsive and able to follow through on commitments without reminders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
