Customer Buyer

About the role

The Customer Buyer is responsible for sourcing, cost management and supply chain activities for assigned customer programs, ensuring optimal material selection and pricing.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate material costs, select suppliers and design optimal supply chains in SAP (SCX).
• Deliver benchmark costs, drive cost‑reduction initiatives and manage cost development through negotiations and alternative sourcing.
• Advise customers on supply‑chain strategies, manage after‑sales materials and ensure best pricing.
• Negotiate with preferred suppliers, explore second‑sourcing options and coordinate new supplier qualifications.
• Maintain SAP master data for critical components and reassign when criticality decreases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management or Procurement.
• 3‑4 years of relevant experience, preferably in electronics manufacturing.
• Excellent written and spoken English and strong analytical, negotiation and project‑management skills.
