Credit Cards Sales Officer

About the role

The Credit Cards Sales Officer will promote DFCC Bank’s credit card portfolio to both individual and corporate customers. Working on‑site in Colombo, you will engage customers through direct sales, channel partners and outreach activities, guiding them from interest to application and approval.

Key responsibilities

• Promote credit card products via direct sales, channel partners and outreach events.
• Identify potential customers, conduct needs assessments and explain product features and benefits.
• Support customers throughout the application and approval process.
• Achieve sales targets, generate leads and maintain accurate sales activity records.
• Provide high‑quality post‑sales customer service.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and compliance with bank policies and regulations.
• Participate in marketing campaigns, events and other promotional activities.

Required profile

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience in lead generation, sales operations and meeting sales targets.
• Exposure to channel sales and relationship management.
• Prior experience in retail banking, financial services or credit‑card sales is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a target‑driven environment with good negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Basic understanding of banking products, credit processes and regulatory guidelines.
• Proficiency in MS Office and digital tools for reporting and customer engagement.
• Minimum secondary or diploma‑level education; higher qualifications in marketing, business or finance are beneficial.
• Fluency in English and local languages; willingness to work flexible hours.
