Creative Designer – Hospitality & Lifestyle

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Creative Designer position is based in Colombo and focuses on the hospitality and lifestyle sector. Vella seeks a conceptually strong, detail‑oriented designer with a solid understanding of premium hospitality branding.

Key responsibilities

• Develop visual concepts and campaign directions across Vella's hospitality brand portfolio.
• Design creative assets for social media, websites, digital advertising, email, presentations, print, signage, merchandise, and events.
• Translate marketing briefs, brand strategies, offers, and commercial objectives into compelling visual communication.
• Create platform‑specific content for social media, Google and Meta advertising, websites, OTAs, and other digital channels, including static posts, carousels, stories, reels, short‑form videos and motion graphics.
• Adapt master creatives across formats, platforms, audiences and markets, and prepare production‑ready artwork for printers and other partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the hospitality industry with a strong portfolio of hospitality and lifestyle work.
• Degree or professional qualification in Graphic Design, Creative Multimedia, Visual Communication or a related field.

Required skills

• Proficiency in creative and design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
• Experience creating digital campaigns, social media content, motion graphics and video editing.
• Knowledge of AI‑powered creative tools for ideation, image development and workflow efficiency.
