Consultant - Information Security

About the role

WNS is seeking an experienced Information Security Consultant to support its global clients in managing security and privacy risks. The role involves conducting risk assessments, reviewing contracts, and assisting with compliance and audit activities across a range of industries.

Key responsibilities

• Perform information security and privacy risk and impact assessments.
• Review security and privacy clauses in client and third‑party contracts.
• Support compliance certification, client audits, and evidence collection.
• Assist in handling security incidents and data‑breach investigations.
• Maintain risk assessment trackers and sensitive‑information inventories.
• Drive security awareness initiatives and third‑party risk management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of professional experience in information security.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001.
• Familiarity with privacy regulations including HIPAA, HITECH, GDPR, POPIA and PIPEDA.
• Experience with information security risk assessment and incident handling.
