Compliance Assurance Manager

About the role

Our client, a leading full‑service law firm in Sri Lanka, is looking for a Compliance Assurance Manager to report to the Chief Compliance Officer. The role will strengthen internal controls, quality management and compliance practices across the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews covering ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and anti‑money laundering, counter‑terrorist financing and counter‑proliferation financing requirements.
• Assess adherence to established policies, procedures and controls, ensuring continuous readiness for external audits.
• Identify gaps, recommend improvements and monitor corrective actions.
• Maintain audit documentation and report findings to the COO/Compliance Officer, with a dotted reporting line to the CFO.
• Collaborate with teams across the firm to promote compliance awareness and consistent application of procedures.

Required profile

• Attorney‑at‑Law, Chartered Accountant, ACCA/CIMA, or recognised compliance/risk qualification.
• 5+ years experience in Compliance Assurance, preferably within a professional services or regulated environment.
• Relevant professional certifications or internal auditor training is an advantage.
