Communication and Reporting Officer – EMPOWER Project

About the role
The Communication and Reporting Officer will lead the implementation of the communication and visibility plan for the EMPOWER Project, capturing impact stories and producing timely donor reports. This position works closely with the World Vision Lanka communications team and project specialists.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and execute the EMPOWER Project communications and visibility plan under guidance from the World Vision Lanka communications department.
- Produce at least one impact story per month, including written content, photos, and videos that meet donor and World Vision standards.
- Capture high‑quality photos and videos, and collect stories that illustrate project outcomes.
- Collaborate with technical specialists and subject‑matter experts to develop accountability and visibility materials for community outreach and feedback mechanisms.
- Prepare and submit timely reports in line with agreed timelines and donor requirements.
- Coordinate with the MEAL coordinator to refine reporting formats and ensure data accuracy.
Required profile
- Minimum of 3 progressive years of experience in communications, media, or a similar role within the development sector.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Fluency in English and Tamil.
