Commis Chef – Full-time Kitchen Role at Boutique Resort

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Commis Chef to join the kitchen team at Sri Sharavi Beach Villas & Spa, a boutique resort in Mirissa. This full‑time, on‑site position offers the chance to develop culinary skills while supporting daily food preparation for breakfast, lunch and dinner services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior chefs with mise en place, basic cooking tasks and plating of dishes.
• Maintain high hygiene and safety standards, ensuring proper storage of ingredients and a clean workstation.
• Support the preparation of menu items and daily specials for guests.
• Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth, efficient operations.
• Follow resort culinary procedures and contribute to consistent quality across all meals.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in food preparation and cooking, with a willingness to learn.
• Commitment to hygiene and food‑safety practices.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Prior experience in a hotel, resort or restaurant kitchen is an advantage.
• Relevant culinary education, certification or vocational training preferred.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and varying shifts.
