Commercial & Retail Analytics Analyst

About the role

This is a highly analytical, business‑facing role focused on using data to identify opportunities, solve business problems, and improve commercial performance. You will work closely with leadership and cross‑functional teams to analyze pricing, product, sales, conversion, and customer data, going beyond reporting to uncover why trends occur and what actions to take.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze sales, revenue, margin, pricing, conversion, and product performance to identify trends, anomalies, opportunities, and risks.
• Translate business questions into structured analytical problems and provide actionable recommendations.
• Perform ad‑hoc analysis for leadership and develop models to support commercial and strategic decisions.
• Analyze pricing performance, competitive positioning, and recommend adjustments to improve conversion, revenue, and margin.
• Support demand forecasting, identify supply or performance issues, and evaluate product/category performance.
• Build and maintain dashboards, automated reporting, and define KPIs that give visibility into business health.
• Work with large datasets, ensure data quality, automate repetitive analysis, and create scalable analytical processes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in Business, Data, Commercial, or Product Analytics.
• Strong SQL skills and advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency.
• Ability to analyze large datasets, build analytical models, and make data‑driven recommendations.
• Strong business judgment, problem‑solving abilities, and clear communication of complex analysis.
• Comfortable working independently, taking ownership of ambiguous problems, and meticulous attention to detail.
