Chief Supply Chain Officer

About the role

We are partnering with a leading FMCG company in Colombo to find a Chief Supply Chain Officer. The role will lead the end‑to‑end supply chain function, driving transformation and ensuring seamless delivery of products to market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an integrated supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead sourcing, procurement, production planning, inventory, warehousing, logistics and distribution.
• Drive operational excellence initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs and optimise working capital.
• Build robust demand forecasting and S&OP processes for supply continuity.
• Strengthen supplier relationships, ensuring quality, compliance and sustainability.
• Lead digital transformation projects including ERP, analytics and automation.
• Establish and monitor KPIs across the supply chain for continuous improvement.
• Manage risk, business continuity and resilience across the supply network.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, at least 5 years in a senior executive role within FMCG.
• Proven track record of managing large‑scale operations and transformation projects.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to balance service, cost, quality and growth.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
