Butler – Luxury Resort Guest Services

About the role

The Butler role is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Colombo, delivering personalized, high‑touch service to guests throughout their stay at Al Maha. The Butler greets and escorts guests, assists with check‑in and check‑out, and ensures every detail of the guest experience aligns with the resort’s luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and escort guests, providing a warm and discreet welcome.
• Assist with check‑in and check‑out procedures and manage guest inquiries.
• Prepare suites before arrival, arranging amenities, special requests, and room settings.
• Coordinate dining, spa reservations, and transportation services.
• Liaise with housekeeping, food & beverage, and front‑office teams to ensure seamless service.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail, anticipating and fulfilling guest needs.
• Manage guest preferences discreetly, respecting privacy at all times.
• Support the overall guest experience in line with Al Maha’s brand standards.

Required profile

• Strong guest service and hospitality skills with professionalism and discretion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, able to interact confidently with diverse guests.
• Organizational and time‑management abilities to handle multiple requests and prioritize tasks.
• Attention to detail and problem‑solving skills to anticipate needs and resolve issues calmly.
• Experience in luxury hotels, resorts, or fine‑dining environments is highly beneficial.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with luxury hospitality.
• Proficiency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
• Basic computer literacy for handling reservations, guest profiles, and internal communication systems.
• Formal training or certification in hospitality management or a related field is an advantage.
