Business Manager – Industry & Building & Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Business Manager to lead growth and market expansion for Industry, Building and Infrastructure services across Sri Lanka and the Maldives. The role combines engineering expertise with commercial leadership to drive sales, build strategic partnerships and deliver certification and inspection solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive business development activities for Industry and Building & Infrastructure services across Sri Lanka and Maldives.
• Achieve annual sales, revenue growth, and profitability targets.
• Develop and implement market penetration strategies across sectors including Oil & Gas, Power, Renewable Energy, Manufacturing, Construction, Infrastructure, Sustainability, and Water.
• Identify new customers, strategic accounts, and emerging business opportunities.
• Promote certification, inspection, testing, audit, training, and assurance services.
• Build long‑term relationships with clients, consultants, EPC contractors, project owners, government agencies, and key industry stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and tender opportunities.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective client engagement and commercial support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 4–8 years of business development, sales or key account management experience in industrial sectors.
• Strong understanding of Industry Services/TIC environment (inspection, certification, QA/QC, asset integrity).
• Established network within Sri Lanka’s industrial, energy, infrastructure or construction sectors; exposure to Maldives market is a plus.
• Proven track record of achieving sales growth and profitability targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
