Business Development Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to represent a globally recognised power‑tool manufacturer. The role is fully remote, with regular visits to customers across Sri Lanka, primarily in Colombo, and occasional travel to Singapore for training.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities throughout Sri Lanka.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Conduct regular on‑site visits, present and demonstrate products, and provide face‑to‑face sales support.
• Understand customer requirements, recommend appropriate solutions, and follow up on leads, quotations and sales opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer needs are addressed and record all interactions accurately.
• Monitor market developments, competitor activity and customer feedback to support business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of sales or business development experience, preferably in hardware or power‑tools.
• Experience in field/on‑site sales and regular customer visits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with business‑level English proficiency.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and willingness to travel to customer locations.
• Own reliable transportation (motorcycle or car) and a valid passport for occasional travel to Singapore.
