Business Development Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Specialist to expand our market presence in Sri Lanka. The role involves close collaboration with distributors, end‑users and the client’s team to generate new sales opportunities and support existing accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new end‑users, generate leads and convert competitor customers.
• Accompany distributor sales representatives on customer visits, conduct product demonstrations and trial activities.
• Promote products and solutions to key accounts, manage quotations and support major projects.
• Introduce new products, accessories and promotional programmes to distributors and provide sales training.
• Support dealer and end‑user events such as roadshows, exhibitions and seminars.
• Submit weekly and monthly market intelligence reports, monitor competitor activity and provide feedback on local market needs.
• Act as the communication bridge between the client and distributor, reporting feedback, quality issues and after‑sales service matters.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in sales, business development or a similar role.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Business‑level English proficiency.
• Valid motorcycle for daily activities; car ownership preferred but not mandatory.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Singapore for training and meetings.
• Valid passport (or eligibility for one; the client will cover passport costs if needed).
