Business Development Executive – Phone-Based Sales

About the role

We are seeking ambitious, energetic and target‑driven Business Development Executives to join our growing team in Colombo. This telephone‑based sales role lets you focus on the product area that best matches your strengths, interests and experience.

Key responsibilities

• Make outbound telephone calls to prospective clients or students.
• Build relationships and identify sales opportunities.
• Follow up leads and enquiries consistently.
• Confidently explain products and services.
• Handle questions, overcome objections and negotiate with prospects.
• Close sales and achieve individual targets.
• Maintain accurate records of calls and follow‑ups.

Required profile

• Confident, ambitious and sales‑driven.
• Comfortable spending a significant part of the day on the phone.
• Motivated by targets, results and commission.
• Strong spoken and written English.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and persistent when following up opportunities.
• Resilient when dealing with objections or rejection.
• Previous experience in sales, telesales, business development, education sales, insurance, tourism or another target‑driven role is an advantage.
