Business Development Executive

About the role

The Business Development Executive will drive growth for Kingslake by identifying and pursuing new opportunities within the manufacturing and technology sectors in Sri Lanka. Based in Colombo, you will work on‑site with a cross‑functional team to build a robust sales pipeline, generate qualified leads and support customers with tailored software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Research market trends and prospect new business opportunities in the manufacturing and technology domains.
• Develop and present proposals, presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, track leads and convert them into qualified opportunities.
• Manage key accounts, nurture long‑term relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with internal consultants, engineers and product teams to tailor solutions to client needs.
• Report performance against targets, provide regular feedback to leadership and adjust strategies as needed.
• Represent Kingslake at industry events, conferences and networking activities to enhance market presence.

Required profile

• Proven experience in new business development and lead generation, preferably in B2B software or manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of commercial processes and ability to communicate value propositions effectively.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, IT or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced setting.

• Basic analytics skills to monitor performance metrics.
