Business Development Executive (Education Sector)

About the role

The Business Development Executive (Education Sector) is a full-time, on‑site position based in Sri Lanka. You will identify and pursue new business opportunities with schools, universities and training providers, researching prospects, qualifying leads and building a strong sales pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with educational institutions.
• Conduct meetings and presentations, prepare proposals and negotiate terms.
• Close agreements that align with MindPlus’s offerings.
• Maintain relationships with existing accounts and monitor client satisfaction.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful implementation and support.
• Perform regular market analysis and participate in events or outreach activities.
• Provide accurate reporting on sales performance and targets.

Required profile

• Strong new‑business development and lead generation abilities in the education sector.
• Business and account management skills to manage pipelines and long‑term partnerships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with confident presentation abilities.
• Experience in the education or training industry and familiarity with institutional decision‑making.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management and problem‑solving focused on revenue targets.
• Willingness to work on‑site, travel within Sri Lanka and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Education or related field, with prior sales or business‑development experience.
