Business Analyst – SOC Engineering

About the role

We are looking for a Business Analyst to support our SOC Engineering team. You will be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements for log onboarding, integrations and workflow automation, while ensuring traceability across multiple workstreams.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document detailed requirements for SOC Engineering activities, including log onboarding, integrations and workflow design.
• Capture application, system and service information relevant to security telemetry.
• Document integration prerequisites such as connectivity, APIs, authentication, accounts and certificates.
• Facilitate workshops with SOC, platform, application teams and vendors to discuss use‑cases and data onboarding.
• Manage JIRA and ServiceNow items – requirements, updates, progress tracking and SLA‑based reporting.
• Support planning and estimation by collecting effort inputs from engineering teams.
• Coordinate prioritisation discussions, maintain decisions and ensure traceability.
• Document meeting notes, actions and decisions; escalate blockers or risks as needed.
• Assist operational readiness activities, including hand‑over packs and documentation updates.
• Produce status reports and provide regular stakeholder updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in cybersecurity, SOC or IT engineering environments.
• Hands‑on experience managing requirements, backlogs and workflows using JIRA and/or ServiceNow.
• Experience facilitating technical workshops and stakeholder engagement across engineering, application and operations teams.
• Familiarity with Agile or similar delivery frameworks for planning, estimation and tracking.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills for technical initiatives and operational hand‑overs.
