Ayurvedic Physician

About the role

The Ayurvedic Physician will provide comprehensive Ayurvedic medical services to guests in a luxury hospitality environment. Reporting to the health & wellness manager, the role combines clinical expertise with a guest‑centric approach to ensure safe, effective, and personalized treatment experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct medical consultations, assess guest health conditions, and maintain accurate diagnosis records.
• Prescribe and tailor Ayurveda treatment programs in line with company standards.
• Monitor guest progress, ensure safety, and manage any side effects during treatment.
• Prescribe Ayurvedic medicines and supervise pharmacy preparation and usage.
• Ensure compliance with medical protocols, hygiene, and quality standards.
• Provide medical support during emergencies and fulfill duty doctor responsibilities as required.
• Guide, supervise, and support therapy staff; deliver wellness talks and training sessions when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Ayurvedic (BAMS or equivalent) from a recognized institute.
• Valid registration with the Ayurveda Medical Council of Sri Lanka.
• Minimum one year of experience as a practicing doctor in a recognized Ayurvedic institute.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a guest‑centric mindset suitable for luxury hospitality.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, Sinhala or another language.
• Ability to work shifts, including evenings and on‑call duties.
