Automotive Workshop Foreman

About the role

Kia Sri Lanka is looking for an experienced Automotive Workshop Foreman to lead its workshop operations in Kurunegala. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures that all vehicle repairs, diagnostics and maintenance are performed to Kia’s manufacturer standards while supporting a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily workshop activities, allocate jobs and monitor progress.
• Coordinate technicians, service advisors and other team members to clarify job requirements and resolve technical issues.
• Maintain safety practices, quality checks and accurate service records.
• Manage tools, equipment and workshop resources, ensuring they are organized and functional.
• Train junior staff, implement best‑practice procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience in an authorized dealership or service centre.
• Hands‑on background with heavy equipment, automotive tools and modern diagnostic systems.
• Technical qualification in automobile or mechanical engineering from a recognised institution.
• Strong knowledge of automotive safety standards, manufacturer service procedures and digital service systems.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and adapt to new technologies in a fast‑paced environment.
